Quarter 3, Week 6, 3-7 to 3-11

Wednesday and Thursday Early Release 8:45 am to 12:15 pm

6G Math & Science

Monday - Today we will learn Prime Factorization so that students can complete 1.4.

In Science some teams are still working on the Lego Mindstorms Programming assignment. Then they will work on the Sensabot challenge.

Teams who finish the Sensabot challenge will move on to the Maze Runner challenge.

Once teams complete the Maze Runner challenge they will begin the Lunar Rover challenge.

I am also beginning to present the Space Science and Physics lessons that go with this Robotics Unit.


Monday 12:30 Garden Time


Wednesday - Today we will continue working on Math for some of the time and then end the day working centers. We are on an early release schedule and kids go home at 12:15 pm.

Wednesday is centers day! At the end of the day during Science, each team participates in a different experience either building or solving puzzles. One team even explores the world of VR with Oculus Quest 2 headsets! Each class will cycle through all six centers during our Wednesday Science time every other week.

Thursday - Today we will continue working on 1.4 Prime Factorization (hopefully everyone will be done by today). Then we will continue working on robotics (see above).
6B 5/6 Math & Science

Tuesday and Friday - Sixth graders will take the 1.1 to 1.3 quiz before we move on to 1.4.

Fifth graders are working on pages 16, 17, and 18 in their Bridges workbook as well as working on March Number Corner activities

In this class we are also going to be doing some other Math activities to practice the skills that everyone needs to practice, both 5th and 6th.
