Monday and Tuesday - By now students should be finishing up their Water Pollution Research and starting to write their Public Service Announcement. We will choose the best ones to feature on our 6th grade World Solutions Blog!

HW - None if you are all caught up. Email Mr. G if you are not sure.

Wednesday - Today we are going to complete an activity called Food Miles. Students are going to learn the consequences of buying food that is not local to our state. (Ask them.)

Thursday and Friday - The goal is for students to complete their Public Service Announcements (PSA). A complete PSA means that the student has a blog published with a meme along with their information and recommendations on water pollution. PSA's can focus on one of the following four different water pollution topics:
  1. River pollution with a focus on Chimacum Creek.
  2. Lake pollution with a focus on Anderson Lake's Harmful Algal Bloom (HAB) problem.
  3. Ocean pollution with a focus on the Great Pacific Ocean Garbage Patch.
  4. Drinking water issues around the world.
Have a great Spring Break everyone!
