| Math & Science Mondays - Garden Day! (Our classes have garden in the afternoon.) Monday to Friday - Math - This week we will complete the following assignments, 026 Practice 6.1.14 027 Practice Day 2 for the Test! 028 End of Unit 1 Assessment 029 Unit 1 Assessment Reflection 030 Unit 2 Pre-Unit Check Science - This week we will work on the following: We will finish looking at when using AI can help and when it's best to avoid it completely. For best results, the learner should do most of the work. Productive struggle is the way to learn, so when learning something new, avoid AI that does the work and thinks for you. This week, students will also take some quizzes to show what they already know about physical science. Once we start our robotics unit, we will focus on energy, forces, and motion. Tuesday, we will have a music assembly at 11:15 am. Thursday, we will have the Great Shakeout earthquake drill at 10:15 am. Fish Trapping if the weather is safe! 6G will set the traps on Wednesday, then retrieve the traps on Thursday to ID and count the fish. 6B will set their traps on Thursday and retrieve the traps on Friday to ID and count the fish. ===================Any work that is not completed during class time becomes homework so that students stay caught up and so that all students can access ALL the learning. Regular HW available for anyone who needs it - For Math, students have a workbook that they can take home for lessons that need more work if they don't get it during class or if they miss due to absence. Students can also finish or review any online assignment once we complete it in class on a computer, tablet, or phone. The workbook will stay at home, and students can rip out completed pages for me to check for accuracy. For Science, if students fall behind on their classwork, they can catch up at home (if students do not have access to a computer at home, ask Mr. Gonzalez for an alternative activity or assignment). If students want to access the practice quizzes and games on Google Classroom at home, they can work on those as well on computers, tablets, or phones. |
