6th-grade Science

Monday - Today 1st and 2nd period students will get their Mt Saint Helens test results.

Then we will transition to our next unit - Physical Science through Robotics!

We will begin with a Pear Deck Robotics activity.

Note: Period 3 still has to take the Mt Saint Helens test because Friday we had an assembly during period 3 and they didn't have time to take the test. They will start the robotics unit tomorrow.

HW - None unless you scored less than a 16 on your Mt Saint Helens test. For those who didn't score at least a 16 out of 20, you need to study to retake the test.

Tuesday & Wednesday - We will be on an early release schedule so students will be going home at 12:15 pm. Classes will be about 50 minutes each on Tuesday and about 40 minutes each on Wednesday.

Students will get assigned a team Lego Mindstorms EV3 kit. We will go over a few basics including a quick building activity to get acquainted or reacquainted with the Legos.

Thursday & Friday -  Student Teams will work on their Robotics blog post assignment then we will work our way to a lab on Gears and how they work.
