Monday - Today student teams will start a water pollution project to figure out ways our creek, Chimacum Creek, can get polluted and what we can do to prevent and protect our creek.

Each team will publish a Public Service Announcement. Even though we are focusing on our creek, teams can choose to study other water pollutions such as ocean pollution or lake pollution instead of river/creek.

Students who chose to participate in the Student Blogging Challenge will get their first challenge today as well! They have all week to complete their challenge.

HW - None

Tuesday through Friday - I will be showing videos each of salmon restoration projects as well as climate change science to help students. Then teams will get the rest of the class period to work on their water pollution project.

This week period 1, Group B, will set the fish traps one day, then return the next day to ID and count any fish we catch in the traps. We always return the fish to the creek.

HW - None

Tuesday - Group C - Same as Monday

Wednesday - Group A - Same as Monday

Friday (double period) -
12:28 to 1:03pm - Group B
1:06 to 1:41pm - Group C
1:45 to 2:20pm - Group A

Students will be working on their WoW in Schools 3D GameLab quests on Fridays so we will be meeting in my Science classroom, room 410.

Some students have started the quests necessary to play a Horde character. The focus is studying the role of the antagonist in a story, the villain.

The second choice that other students are taking is to continue playing their Alliance character to get it to level 20, get a mount, and try some dungeons.
