6th grade Science Monday - Today 6th graders get the first Energy Unit quest! It's a short assignment so I'm letting kids who still haven't finished their volcano work the rest of the period to complete their work so that they can make up their test. HW - Finish your volcano work and make up your test until you get a 3! Tuesday - Today students got a bit more time to work on volcano assignments and test make-up. Then we began our pre-lab work so that tomorrow we can do our first lab, making a battery! Wednesday - Today teams will complete the Making a Battery lab! Once they are done with the lab, after they clean up, students will complete the reflection questions. Thursday and Friday - Students will be working on their lab reflection questions and follow-up assignment today. All the volcano work is homework at this point. I told students to focus their class time on the physics and energy assignments so they don't fall behind again! This week period 1 will do the fish trapping activity. Students will set traps on one day then retrieve the traps the next day to identify and count any fish we catch. We will return the fish to the creek and record the counts to send to the Jefferson Conservation District. | 6th grade Exploratory Technology Lit Monday - Group C: As teams finish their Caring Comics students will continue to work on their World of Warcraft in Schools (WoW in Schools) assignments.
