Quarter 4, Week 11, 6-13 to 6-17

6G Math & Science Monday and Tuesday - We are going to wrap up our Ocean Guardian School Environmental Stewardship Project with a final electronic portfolio entry. Then students will be choosing from different activities.  Wednesday - Students will continue working on the activity or activities they choose once they complete their final project webpage.  Then at 12:20 pm we will be competing at our end of year field day - the Olympic Salmon Salmon Olympics! Thursday - Students will continue to work on their chosen activities. Friday - For the last day we will have time to sign yearbooks as well as watch a slideshow retrospective of our year in photos. Sixth graders will have a walk to say goodbye to the elementary as they prepare for Jr. High next year!

6G Math & Science Monday through Friday - We are going to continue rehearsing Youth Summit sharing circle presentations so that students can give and get feedback from each other to make their presentations better!  June 9 we will be gone most of the day on the field trip.  Friday students will be reflecting on what they learned through the Ocean Guardian School Environmental Stewardship Project and completing the end of project survey!

Monday is Memorial Day so there be no school.

6G Math & Science Tuesday through Friday - Starting this week Ms. Berg and I are going to switch classes every day so we can see all of our students every day (except for Wednesdays due to scheduling conflicts where we will continue with our regular routine)!  We are going to spend our time getting ready for the Youth Summit. Groups are almost done preparing their parameters so they can teach the rest of the class. Then they will begin preparing their Youth Summit presentations! This includes visualizing, graphing, and analyzing all the data we've collected so far.

Students are to bring their home copy of the Big Ideas Math book to school to get checked back in to our library. We will use our classroom copies for our Math work. In Science students have one more day of water quality testing on Chimacum Creek this week, Monday, as we continue to work on our Ocean Guardian School Environmental Stewardship Project in preparation for this year's Youth Summit field trip on June 9. Monday 12:30 Garden Time
