Math & Science Monday and Tuesday -  Math - Monday we will complete Math Google Classroom assignment 080 Fill the Gap and on Tuesday we will complete 081 Break it Down. Science - We will continue to learn the basics of potential and kinetic energy as well as biomimicry as student teams work on the planning and research phase of their Science Google Classroom assignment 021 Potential Energy Efficiency Design Project. Tuesday - Garden Day! (Our classes have garden in the morning.) Wednesday to Friday -  Math -  Mr. Gonzalez is going to be attending this year's NCCE Conference so Mrs. Groth will be the guest teacher subbing for him. We are expecting all students to be respectful and do their work to make the three days great for everyone. Wednesday - Math Google Classroom assignment 082 Potting Soil. Thursday - Math Google Classroom assignment 083 Division Challenges. Friday - Math Google Classroom assignment 084 Practice 6.4.10. Science -  Wednesday:  Biomimicry 101 Wayground video in the Resources section. Continue working on 021 in the February section. Students who are done with that can work on the Atoms PocketLab notebook assignment in the resources section as well as any of our old Wayground quizzes: Life Science Practice, Cells Practice, Physical Science Practice, Forces and Motion Practice, Earth Science Practice, and Science MAP Test Review (the newest one). They will need to click on View more in the Resources section. Thursday:  Nature Inspired Engineering Wayground video in the Resources section. Then same as Wednesday if they still need to work on 021 Potential Energy Efficiency Design project. Friday:  Energy Flow Wayground video in the Resources section. Same as above. All 6th graders are regularly emailed a complete assignment report so that they can keep track of missing assignments and of assignments that they forgot to turn in after we finished in class. Students who submit or turn in assignments late will email Mr. Gonzalez letting him know that the assignment has been completed late so that Mr. Gonzalez can check their work and update their completion status. ------------------ Any work that is not completed during class time becomes homework so that students don't fall behind and so that all students can access ALL the learning. Regular HW available for anyone who needs it -  For Math students have a workbook that they can take pages out of to take home for lessons that need more work if they don't get it during class or if they miss due to absence. Students can also finish or go back through any online assignment once we complete it in class on a computer, tablet, or phone. For Science, if students fall behind on their classwork they can catch up at home (if students do not have access to a computer at home, ask Mr. Gonzalez for an alternative activity or assignment). If students want to access the practice quizzes and games on Google Classroom at home, they can work on those as well on computers, tablets, or phones.
