Quarter 4, Week 1, 4/16 to 4/20

6th-grade Science

Monday - Today 6th graders are going to complete a science critical thinking activity in preparation for studying climate change.

HW - Get ready for your Student-Led Conference tomorrow.

Tuesday - No regular school today for Student-Led Conferences.

Wednesday - Today we will have Olivia and Kory from the North Olympic Salmon Coalition (NOSC) prepare 6th graders for next week's field trip!

Thursday - Today students will be taking their Math MAP test during 1st and 2nd period. 

Then, during 3rd period, my second period class will get to work on their Hydro Dynamic Challenge. They need to get started on their Public Service Announcement blog post by today.

Friday - Today we will have Laura Tucker join us to continue our 6th graders learning about Climate Change!
8th-grade Science

Monday - Today 8th graders will have another chance to get their ePortfolios ready for tomorrow's conferences.

HW - Get ready for your Student-Led Conference tomorrow.

Tuesday - No regular school today for Student-Led Conferences. 

Wednesday - Today 8th graders will have a chance to correct their Physical Science tests. Teams will go over the answers to their tests and then we will correct them as a whole class.

Thursday - Newton's Laws Breakout activity today!

Friday - Eighth graders will be at their UW Engineering Days field trip today.
6th-grade Keyboarding

Monday to Friday - Our daily routine is as follows:
  1. Check Classcraft.
  2. Practice Keyboarding with Typing.Com.
  3. Students then play World of Warcraft to continue leveling up their character and playing through the story on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
  4. Tuesdays and Thursdays students will be working on 3D GameLab assignments based on the game.
