6th-grade Science

Monday to Wednesday - Teams need to finish up their water pollution research and begin the design phase of their Hydro Dynamics Challenge.

HW - Monday students received a field trip permission packet. We have three field trips coming up this spring and I am sending all the permission slips at once! There are also two photo release forms from the Ocean School Guardian NOAA program and from North Olympic Salmon Coalition (NOSC) in case they take photos of your child at the different events. Please get them all filled out and returned to school with your child as soon as you can.

Thursday and Friday - We will have guests from the North Olympic Salmon Coalition (NOSC) to teach students about Chimacum Creek. Students will also get to identify creek bugs to determine the biological integrity of our creek.
8th-grade Science

Monday to Friday - Eighth graders are wrapping up their Sphero Chariot reflections to figure out all the physical science that took place.

Once they finish they will begin to learn a little rocket science! Adding the force of gravity lends itself perfectly to designing and launching bottle rockets! :)

HW - None if you are all caught up.
6th-grade Keyboarding

Monday to Friday - Our daily routine is as follows:
  1. Check Classcraft.
  2. Practice Keyboarding with Typing.Com.
  3. Students then play World of Warcraft to continue leveling up their character and playing through the story.
  4. Some days students will be working on assignments based on the game.
    HW - None
