6th-grade Science

Monday to Friday - Student teams are going through the Lego Mindstorms lessons to learn how to program their EV3 robots!

HW - None unless there are assignments that you did not complete in class.

Please message Mr. Gonzalez on Bloomz or email Mr. Gonzalez to find out what your child is missing (if anything).

This week period 2 will set the fish traps one day, then return the next day to ID and count any fish we catch in the traps. We always return the fish to the creek.
8th-grade Science

Monday to Friday - This week students are practicing how to ask questions using the Question Formulation Technique (QFT). Students used Magnetic Canons and they are formulating questions so each team can design an experiment to learn more about how the Magnetic Canons work!

Teams will use Inquiry Boards to design their experiments and once approved they will conduct their experiments, collect data, graph their data and write conclusions.

HW - None unless you fall behind. Anything not finished in class is homework.

Please message Mr. Gonzalez on Bloomz or email Mr. Gonzalez to find out what your child is missing (if anything).
6th-grade Keyboarding

Monday to Friday - Our daily routine is as follows:
  1. Check Classcraft.
  2. Practice Keyboarding with Typing.Com.
  3. Work on the WoW in Schools curriculum using 3D GameLab.
HW - No homework is assigned unless a student falls behind. If your child falls behind, he or she can catch up on their Keyboarding and on their 3D GameLab assignments using any device that has an Internet connection. To practice keyboarding, a device with a full keyboard is best. Kids can also do their keyboarding practice and 3D GameLab assignments from home if they want to get ahead.
    Email me with any questions.
