Monday - Today 6th graders will be testing in the morning during our 1st and 2nd period time.

We will have our regular 3rd period classes after lunch.

HW - None if you are all caught up. See below.

Tuesday to Thursday - This week student teams need to graph and analyze all the data we've been collecting from the fish trapping data to the water quality data.

Here are the other deadlines:
  • Teams need to finish learning what their water quality parameter means.
  • Teams need to start learning about the salmon life cycle.
  • Teams need to learn what all the benthic macroinvertebrate bugs we found in our creek mean about our creek's biological integrity.
  • Teams need to work on adding their new learning to the team's final project website.
  • NEXT WEEK teams will make a poster to share their learning and data at the June 4th GreenSTEMs Youth Summit.
  • The first week of June students will practice their presentations so they are ready for the June 4th GreenSTEMs Youth Summit! (We need parent chaperones for this field trip. We could use nine to twelve parents to chaperone groups of six to nine 6th graders each. More info coming as June 4th approaches.)
Friday - Today Reed from the North Olympic Coalition will return to visit our Science classes. Reed will conduct watershed activities with students to show them how pollution enters our waters.
