Week 3, 9/17 to 9/21

5th per - 12:32pm to 1:24pm

6th grade Science
Monday - Today students will continue working on the volcano learning activity in preparation for our Mt Saint Helens trip during Camp Cispus.

HW - None unless you still need to turn in your Cispus paperwork (please turn in the permission slip and health form right away, you can wait until Thursday to turn in the medication authorization form if your child needs to take any medication, even over the counter) or the Informed Consent Agreement.


Tuesday - Same as Monday.

Wednesday - Same as Monday.

Thursday - Today we might make some time to take on the week 2 blogging challenge. We also have a Mt Saint Helens blog post to see what kids have been learning.

Friday - Today is our last chance to finish everything we've been working on this week.

8th grade Science
Monday - Today we are going to work as a whole class to figure out which items from a list are living or non-living. 


HW - None


Tuesday - Today teams setup a lab with five different substances to determine if any of them are living things.


HW - None


Wednesday - Today teams will check their experiments and make their first round of observations.

Then students will work on the week 2 blogging challenge and their What is Living blogs.


HW - None 


Thursday - Today teams will make their 48 hours later observations. Then they will finish yesterday's blog posts as well as the Is it Living Lab post.

Friday - Today we will start a project on biomes!
