Quarter 1, Week 2, 9-7 to 9-11

6B - Ms. Berg's 6th Grade Homeroom Class
6G - Mr. Gonzalez's 6th Grade Homeroom Class

Math & Science

Monday - Labor Day - No School

Tuesday to Friday -

Math - Once we are done with our Science labs we will start with the Getting to Know Each Other Desmos lesson so that students can learn how to use the online curriculum. Then we will complete lesson 6.1 Pre-Unit Check, and Lesson 1: Shapes on a Plane. If we get a chance we will also do Lesson 2: Letters (if not then we start next week with the Letters lesson).

Science - This week we will complete the Balloon Rocket Lab. Then we will finish doing some of our set up work, which includes going over procedures, which includes setting up our class assignment portal, learning the 6th grade rules, learning how we will and will not use AI this year, and if we have time, start setting up our electronic portfolios using Google Sites.

===================

Any work that is not completed during class time becomes homework so that students stay caught up and so that all students can access ALL the learning.

Regular HW available for anyone who needs it -
For Math students have a workbook that they can take home for lessons that need more work if they don't get it during class or if they miss due to absence. Students can also finish or go back through any online assignment once we complete it in class on a computer, tablet, or phone. The workbook will stay at home and students can rip out completed pages to have me check them for accuracy.

For Science, if students fall behind on their classwork, they can catch up at home (if students do not have access to a computer at home, ask Mr. Gonzalez for an alternative
activity or assignment). If students want to access the practice quizzes and games on Google Classroom at home, they can work on those as well
on computers, tablets, or phones.
Email me or message me on Classdojo with any questions.
