6th-grade Science Spirit Week this week! Monday - Pajama Day - NO Halloween Costumes Tuesday - Funny Hair Day Wednesday - Mustache Day Thursday - Funny Sock Day AND School Picture Day Friday - Hero Day Monday - Classes will go to Garden in Math today, not during Science, because of a Math project students will be working on in the garden! :) In Science students will continue to work on the Coding in Minecraft Intro to Coding with MakeCode 3.0 course.  Tuesday through Friday - The goal is to get through Lesson 3 so that we can work on Lessons 4 and 5. We will be doing lesson 5 together.  This week period 3 will set the fish traps one day, then return the next day to ID and count any fish we catch in the traps. We always return the fish to the creek.

Tuesday and Wednesday -  6C, B, and A - By now on the intro to coding course, students should be finishing all four assessments for Lesson 3 and be working on Lesson 4. Thursday and Friday - No school so that we can have our parent, teacher, student check-in! Time for parents to ask questions and see how their kids are doing. We will begin with an intro to coding course on Minecraft Education Edition. 6B Per 2 - This class still has to complete the minimum required assignments from September before we can all begin the Robotics unit. 6A Per 3 - Same as Period 2 - still working on the September work before we start the robotics unit. We will be attending a musical performance in the auditorium during 1st period from 9:30 to 10 am. 6B Per 2 - 2nd period will have Science today for half an hour and then for another half an hour tomorrow. The plan is for them to continue the robotics unit by working on the Coding in Minecraft intro course. 6A Per 3 - No Science today (they will get an hour of Science tomorrow). Thursday -  6C Per 1 - No Science today for my homeroom class. Today we will also be on an early release schedule with the school day ending at 12:15 pm. 6B Per 2 - We will finish 2nd period today.
