| Mr. G's 6th-grade Homeroom Monday to Friday - This week students will be working on writing stories that have well developed characters (a main protagonist and a good antagonist), the setting and genre, and an idea for a problem/issue. HW - None unless you want to catch up or get ahead. | 6th-grade Science Monday - Some teams are still finishing the Sensor labs. Today teams who are done will share what they learned with the rest of the class. HW - None Tuesday to Friday - Teams who are done with their Sensors blog post are going to build their team robot, practice programming their robot, and complete their first challenge, the Sensabot Challenge. Teams who complete the Sensabot Challenge before the end of the week can move on to learning a little bit about how computers work before they begin the next challenge where they will learn how to use the move steering programming block with rotations and degrees mathematically! This week period 2 will set the fish traps one day, then return the next day to ID and count any fish we catch in the traps. We always return the fish to the creek. |
