Quarter 4, Week 1, 4/8 to 4/12

Choose-A-Thon Outdoor Education Fundraiser this Friday, April 12, during 1st and 2nd period!!

Student/Parent/Teacher Conferences are scheduled for next Monday, April 15, from 3 to 7pm, and Tuesday, April 16, from 7:45am to 11:15am, in the high school commons.

6th-grade Science

Monday to Thursday - Students will be reflecting on their progress so far this year in preparation for next week's conferences.

Once students are done reflecting on their progress thus far, they will continue working on their Hydro Dynamics Challenge. This week teams will need to start designing, building, programming and testing their water pollution robotic solutions.

HW - Get all the permission slips and photo release forms signed and brought back to Mr. G by Thursday!

Continue getting pledges for Friday's Choose-A-Thon!


Friday - Today we will have the Choose-A-Thon Outdoor Education fundraising event! If the 6th grade raises $800 we will meet our goal and celebrate with an ice cream party!
8th-grade Science

Monday to Thursday - Students will be reflecting on their progress so far this year in preparation for next week's conferences.

Then students will complete a packet based on the Sphero Chariot Challenge they did before spring break.

After that, we will begin studying for the physical science test.

HW - Get the Museum of Flight Field Trip Permission Slip signed and returned to Mr. G by the end of this week. 

Study what we've learned so far to prepare for the Physical Science Test.

Friday - Genius Hour project updates. Students should be preparing their TedEd Talk presentations for the end of May!

Monday to Friday - Students will prepare for next week's conferences.

Teams will continue working on the rotations challenge and the speed challenge so they can move on to the next set of robotics challenges!
