6th grade Science Monday - Today we started EMM Lesson 5, an Introduction to Forces. HW - Midterm standards-based online progress reports are ready as are Skyward grades. Tuesday - Teams are still working on the Getting Started part of the lab preparation so they will need to finish that before they can do the Elastic Force lab, EMM Lesson 5, part 1. HW - None Wednesday - Today teams will start the lab investigating elastic force! HW - None Thursday - Elastic Force lab continued. Students are going to analyze and graph their data. HW - None Friday - Elastic Force lab data analysis and graphing is still going on today. HW - Have a great Veteran's Day weekend! | 8th grade Science Monday - Today we started an activity called Food Miles to learn something about the foods we eat and how far they travel to get to us. HW - Midterm standards-based online progress reports are ready as are Skyward grades. Tuesday - Today teams will continue to calculate how many miles their lunches traveled to get to them using Google and Google Maps. Then they will calculate how much carbon was added to the atmosphere just for their lunch! HW - None Wednesday - Today teams will finish the Food Miles activity and share their conclusions by blogging about their results. Then students will be able to continue working on any quests they need to catch up on. HW - None Thursday - Students are working on their 3D GameLab Science quests to get to the Food Miles quest and the Food Miles Blog quest to share what they learned from that activity. HW - None Friday - Same as yesterday! HW - Have a great Veteran's Day weekend! |
