6G Math & Science Monday and Thursday - In Math this week we are going to continue working on our Data Science unit. We are at the point of working with mean, median, and mode as well as measures of spread. We are almost done with the unit! In Science we are going to wrap up the diseases unit with a Disease Detectives activity before students reflect on what they've learned by adding to their eportfolios. Once students are done reflecting, we will begin working on our STEM Robotics unit. And once the weather calms down we will begin collecting water quality data at Chimacum Creek. Thursday this class will be dissecting owl pellets to see what each owl ate! My wife works at the Center Valley Animal Rescue and the veterinarian collected and donated the owl pellets! | 6B 5/6 Math & Science Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday - In Math this week we are going to continue working on our Data Science unit. Wednesday we decided to start centers! In the last 2 hours of the day during Science, each team participated in a different experience either building or solving puzzles. One team even explored the world of VR with Oculus Quest 2 headsets! Each class will cycle through all six centers during our Wednesday Science time.
