Look out for the info packet coming home with your child!Monday to Friday - Monday March 17 - Happy St Patrick's Day! Math - This week we are starting with assignment 080 Volume Challenges. If all goes according to plan we should be finished with Unit 4 and taking the end of unit assessment by Thursday or Friday! Science - Once all teams are done re-organizing their robotics kits and preparing them for next year's 6th graders we will complete the ecology and biomimicry assignment. Then we will be ready to begin our Ocean Guardian School's Environmental Stewardship Project. This project has been going on since the early 2000's and we started recording Chimacum Creek water quality data collected by 6th graders since 2002! Soon we will start going to the creek to gather water quality data for this year! Tuesday - Garden Day! (Our classes have garden in the afternoon.) ------------------ Any work that is not completed during class time becomes homework so that students don't fall behind and so that all students can access ALL the learning.Regular HW available for anyone who needs it - For Math students have a workbook that they can take pages out of to take home for lessons that need more work if they don't get it during class or if they miss due to absence. For Science, if students fall behind on their classwork they can catch up at home (if students do not have access to a computer at home, ask Mr. Gonzalez for an alternative activity or assignment). If students want to access the practice quizzes and games on Google Classroom at home, they can work on those as well. |
