| Math & Science Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday - Math - After our Unit 4 Quiz on Dividing Fractions and after students got time to reflect on what they got right and what they got wrong, we are ready to continue working on Unit 4 with Google Classroom assignment 078 Classroom Comparisons, which is lesson 11 on Desmos. We will get through lesson 12 and 13 this week. Science - Now that teams got a chance to finish their Potential Energy Design Robotics Challenge project and they were able to reflect on their eportfolios we are going to finish the story and complete some puzzles to see if we can't rescue the missing colonists! Ask your child if you are curious what that is all about. :) We will also complete a few tasks to learn a bit about biomimicry and robotics. This week we also need to re-organize our robotics kits for next year since we are officially done with robotics! Next week we will start our 6th Grade Ocean Guardian School Environmental Stewardship Project! Tuesday - Garden Day! (Our classes have garden in the afternoon.) Thursday - No school today for Parent/Teacher/Student conferences. If you still have not scheduled your conference, please contact me on Classdojo or via email. Friday - No school today - teachers will be in trainings all day. ------------------ Any work that is not completed during class time becomes homework so that students don't fall behind and so that all students can access ALL the learning.Regular HW available for anyone who needs it - For Math students have a workbook that they can take pages out of to take home for lessons that need more work if they don't get it during class or if they miss due to absence. For Science, if students fall behind on their classwork they can catch up at home (if students do not have access to a computer at home, ask Mr. Gonzalez for an alternative activity or assignment). If students want to access the practice quizzes and games on Google Classroom at home, they can work on those as well. |
