6G Math & Science Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday - This week we will try to finish, or at least get through as much of, our Data Science unit in Math. Kids will also get more time to finish or do more computer science practice. Ms. Berg and I will also be having kids who missed any MAP test last week make up the test or tests they missed. In Science we will work on completing the 5-6 Zombie Apocalypse disease Classcraft quest. By Thursday I plan to roll the dice and end the game aspect of this unit! This week 6G will set fish traps Wednesday, then return Thursday to ID and count any fish we catch in the traps. Fish trapping is cancelled this week due to the fact that there aren't any fish to catch this time of year.

6G Math & Science Monday - Today we are continuing to work through our Data Science unit during Math. Students should be working on Prodigy for homework to build up their Math skills.  This is also Computer Science Education Week so students will spend at least one hour doing Hour of Code activities. In Science we will continue working on our unit on diseases, called the Zombie Apocalypse quest on Classcraft. Thursday - Today students will take the Winter Reading MAP Test after lunch. The rest of the day students will work on our Data Science unit in Math and the Zombie Apocalypse quest in Science.

6B 5/6 Math & Science Tuesday - Today students will take the Winter Language Arts MAP Test. Then students will get to practice at least an hour of coding for this year's Computer Science Education Week! In Science students will continue working on our disease unit, the 5-6 Zombie Apocalypse quest in Classcraft. Wednesday - Today students will take the Winter Math MAP Test. Then students will continue working on the Data Science Unit in Math and the Zombie apocalypse quest in Science. Friday - Data Science unit in Math and Zombie Apocalypse Unit in Science, continued. This week 6B will set fish traps Tuesday, then return Wednesday to ID and count any fish we catch in the traps.

6G Math & Science Monday - This morning we are going to continue our Data Science assignments by looking at some more graphs and creating visualizations. In Science teams are going to finish their Sustainability Development transcripts and share those with me then we will take a quiz to review the sustainability concepts students learn by participating in this activity. Thursday - Thanksgiving Holiday - No School

6G Math & Science Monday - In class teams will continue working on their sustainable development Minecraft build challenge. We will devote all day to this project because it's due by Thursday since I don't see this class on Friday, the official deadline. Teams who finish their submissions before the end of the week will continue working on their Math assignments. Wednesday - Same as Monday - continue building sustainable development solutions in Minecraft. Today this class will go down to the creek to set fish traps. Thursday - Tomorrow is the deadline for the sustainable development Minecraft build challenge so students need to finish building today and record their screencast tour.  Today this class will go to the creek to get the fish traps. If we catch any fish we will identify and count them.

6B 5/6 Math & Science Tuesday - Today teams need to work on their sustainable development Minecraft build so it's ready to record and submit by Friday. Teams who finish their submissions before the end of the week will continue working on their Math assignments. Then Mrs. Kaster will join us at 1:30 pm for her next bully prevention lesson. Friday - Today is the deadline for the sustainable development Minecraft build challenge so students need to finish building today and record their screencast tour.

Today this class will go down to the creek to set fish traps. Then Mrs. Kaster will join us at 1:30 pm for her next bully prevention lesson. Friday - Today is a non-student teacher work day so students have the day off making for another four-day weekend!

In Science we will be working on the environmental Minecraft Education Edition build challenge that fits perfectly into our Ocean Guardian School project. Wednesday - Today we will continue working on the Data Science lessons in Math and on the Sustainable Development Minecraft Education Edition challenge in Science. Today this class will go down to the creek to set fish traps. Thursday - Same as Monday & Wednesday.  Today this class will go to the creek to get the fish traps. If we catch any fish we will identify and count them.
