Math & Science

Monday to Friday -
Math - We are going to complete assignment 015 Practice 6.1.07 on Monday so that we can take the Unit 1 quiz on the area of parallelograms and triangles on Tuesday.

Wednesday we are going to reflect on the quiz results by completing a MirrorTalk AI reflection then writing about the questions students got right and the questions, if any, that they got wrong and still need to learn on Google Sites Electronic Portfolios, or eportfolios, that we will be setting up this week.

Thursday and Friday, if we can complete the eportfolio reflection on Wednesday we will be able to move on to the second part of unit one with assignments 018 Renata's Sticker and 019 Plenty of Polyhedra to practice getting the surface area of polyhedra.

Science - This week we are going to work on getting our Google Sites electronic portfolios, or eportfolios, ready. We will also work on our energy skate park forces and motion simulation as well as complete a recorded aiEdu snapshot lesson.

The lessons we will be working on include 005a Energy Skate Park, Mission Control - Starfleet Forces Mission, Eportfolio and 7 Random Facts, as well as What is a Force.

Students also have several Wayground (formerly Quizizz) quiz games on Life, Earth, and Physical Science.

Tuesday - Garden Day! (Our classes have garden in the morning.)

------------------

Any work that is not completed during class time becomes homework so that students don't fall behind and so that all students can access ALL the learning.

Regular HW available for anyone who needs it -
For Math students have a workbook that they can take pages out of to take home for lessons that need more work if they don't get it during class or if they miss due to absence. Students can also finish or go back through any online assignment once we complete it in class on a computer, tablet, or phone.

For Science, if students fall behind on their classwork they can catch up at home (if students do not have access to a computer at home, ask Mr. Gonzalez for an alternative
activity or assignment). If students want to access the practice quizzes and games on Google Classroom at home, they can work on those as well
 on computers, tablets, or phones.

Any work that is not completed during class time becomes homework so that students don't fall behind and so that all students can access ALL the learning.

Regular HW available for anyone who needs it -
For Math students can access every online Desmos lesson once we've completed it in class to go back and redo any confusing parts. For students who do not have a computer, or a tablet, or a phone at home we will be passing out Desmos workbooks this week. Any lesson that was confusing students can take the pages from their workbook home. Once completed, turn in the workbook pages to Mr. Gonzalez so that he can check them for you.

For Science, if students fall behind on their classwork they can catch up at home (if students do not have access to a computer at home, ask Mr. Gonzalez for an alternative
activity or assignment). If students want to access the practice quizzes and games on Google Classroom at home, they can work on those as well on computers, tablets, or phones.

Here's what we've completed in class so far:
