6G - Mr. Gonzalez's 6th Grade Homeroom Class
| Math & Science Monday to Friday - Math - We are moving on to Unit 3 still working on ratios. We will review using ratio tables before starting the first lesson. This week students will focus on units of measurement and converting between different units. Science - Teams will get more time to finish their sensor labs and finish writing their conclusions before we start working with the heat sensor to experiment with heat energy transfer. In addition to working with the sensors and designing labs, students will also be learning about different Science topics including energy and energy transfer. Tuesday - Garden Day! (Our classes have garden in the afternoon.) Fish Trapping if the weather is safe! 6G will set the traps on Tuesday then retrieve the traps on Wednesday to ID and count the fish. 6B will set their traps on Wednesday and retrieve the traps on Thursday to ID and count the fish. HW - For Math students have a workbook that they can take pages out of to take home for lessons that need more work if they don't get it during class or if they miss due to absence. For Science, if students fall behind on their classwork they can catch up at home (if students do not have access to a computer at home, ask Mr. Gonzalez for an alternative activity or assignment). If students want to access the practice quizzes and games on Google Classroom at home, they can work on those as well. |
