Quarter 1, Week 7, 10-16 to 10-20

6B - Ms. Berg's 5/6 Homeroom Class
6G - Mr. Gonzalez's 6th Grade Homeroom Class

Math & Science

Monday to Friday - This week in Math we will continue working on our weekly routine of working on one Problem Task (a rich Math task), Problem Strings as needed, and continuing to work on Bridges for 5th and Desmos for 6th. Aleks accounts are all ready for homework and classwork!

In Science we have begun Robotics with a Coding in Minecraft unit to practice programming! Students who are not done with last month's assignments can still finish those for homework or during class when they finish work early.

Writer's Elective (Mondays & Fridays) - Some students are beginning to make their 9/11 book pages! The rest of the students need to finish their rough draft and then get it checked by Bing Chat to add it to our class 9/11 book!

HW - Students can work on Aleks for Math homework now that all the accounts are ready for the year. Practicing times tables is also important.

For Science here is what students can work on if it's not done yet:

  1. All the eportfolio assignments: Create An Electronic Portfolio, Eportfolio Link, Images on Eportfolio, Create Your Own Images, Adding Videos, and Passion Page.
  2.  Then complete the Making a Documentary assignment to learn how to add reflection videos for your future works.
  3.  Finally, complete the atoms and molecules assignments to unlock the BADGE: PocketLab, Building Molecules, More About Atoms.
Fish Trapping!
6G will set the traps on Tuesday then retrieve the traps on Wednesday to ID and count the fish.

6B will set their traps on Wednesday and retrieve the traps on Thursday to ID and count the fish.
