(This may change from day to day depending on how much we actually get done in class so check back often to make sure a deadline or assignment or homework wasn't changed at the last minute.)

6th grade Science Monday - Today students got their volcano tests back. Anyone who got less than a 3, and therefore did not meet standard, needs to complete more volcano assignments (quests). At the very minimum students need to do the Type that Volcano, Mt Saint Helens Rebuild, and Is Mt Saint Helens Catastrophic (Type that Lava is a good one too) quests. Once students finish the aforementioned quests they can take the Volcano Assessment Retake to try and meet standard. Once they get a 3 on the assessment, they are done! HW - None unless you are falling behind. Friday is the deadline to make up your test! Next week we will start our Energy Unit! Tuesday to Friday - This week, while students are completing more volcano quests to learn enough to meet standard on the volcano test retake, I will get them started on a project we will be working on this year with students in New Mexico. We will be blogging with them to share what are learning about our creek while they share what they are learning about their waters. This week, depending on weather, my period 2 class will do the fish trapping activity. Students will set traps on one day then retrieve the traps the next day to identify and count any fish we catch. We will return the fish to the creek and record the counts to send to the Jefferson Conservation District. | 6th grade Exploratory Technology Lit Monday - Group B: Teams who are not done with their Caring Comics are still working on those. Students who are done with their comics are working on their WoWinSchools 3D GameLab assignments. Those who finish all the preliminary quests will be able to start playing World of Warcraft! HW - None Tuesday - Group A: Teams who are not done with their Caring Comics are still working on those. Students who are done with their comics are working on their WoWinSchools 3D GameLab assignments. Those who finish all the preliminary quests will be able to start playing World of Warcraft!
