| 6th grade Science Monday - Today 6th graders had Reed and Larry from the North Olympic Salmon Coalition (NOSC) as guest presenters to teach them about Chimacum Creek (click to see pictures and a couple of videos)! HW - None if you are all caught up. Tuesday - Today we got back to work on our Water Pollution Public Service Announcements (PSA). Students need to finish those so that we can start to learn what their water quality data means PLUS we have Reed and Larry from NOSC returning this coming Monday with benthic macroinvertebrates from our creek to help students identify them and determine the biological integrity of our creek! We have a lot to do and running out of time! HW - None if you are all caught up. Wednesday - Same as yesterday. HW - None if you are all caught up. Thursday - Same as Wednesday. HW - None if you are all caught up. Friday - Today students need to transfer their water quality data to a shared spreadsheet to average our data and error check each other. Then students need to complete their PSAs so we can focus on benthic macroinvertebrates and analyzing our data next week. HW - None if you are all caught up. | 8th grade Science Monday - This week 8th graders are working on the following assignments: the Bikini Bottom Genetics and the Punnett Squares drawing activity. HW - None if you are all caught up. Wednesday - Today 8th graders were taking the Science MSP test (so there was no Science during 2nd period)! Then after lunch 8th graders were working on Odyssey prep activities (so there was no Science during 4th period either). HW - None if you are all caught up. Thursday - Today 8th graders should be finishing up all their genetics activities and quests. Those who get done before class is over can work on any other available or in progress quests. HW - None if you are all caught up. Friday - Today 8th graders are taking the Math MSP test (so there is no Science during 2nd period)! Then after lunch 8th graders will be working on Odyssey prep activities (so there will be no Science during 4th period either). HW - None if you are all caught up. |
