6th grade Science

Monday - This week we will be going to Chimacum Creek to test the water quality today, tomorrow and Wednesday as long as it's not raining.

Students need to finish their Salmon Webquest to learn about salmon life cycles so they can start learning what their water quality parameters mean (including the data they are collecting!).

HW - Get your May 30 Youth Summit permission slip signed and turned in. I handed those to you last week because I'll be gone to Odyssey next week, the whole week before our field trip. Make a note of, and keep, the waste free lunch sheet. This is a field trip that we need chaperones for so ask your parents if they want to come with us.

If you have not finished your Salmon Webquest, macro comic booktree planting blog or your water pollution public service announcement  then it's homework.

Tuesday - Same as yesterday.

HW - Same as yesterday.

Wednesday - Same as yesterday - this is our LAST DAY going down to the creek to collect water quality data!

HW - Same.

Thursday - Today was everyone's last chance to get their Salmon Webquest done. As of today, it's homework. (4th period was really done yesterday because I didn't have them in Science today due to their Math testing.

HW - Salmon Webquest if you didn't finish in class plus anything listed on Monday.

Friday - Today everyone will start learning and becoming experts in their specific water quality parameter! This is the preparation kids need for the Youth Summit on May 30.

HW - Same as above.
8th grade Science

Monday - Eighth graders worked on plant projects for four weeks and last week they began presenting their research and experiments to their class.

Today we will have more presentations.

HW - None unless you need to get your presentation ready.

Tuesday - Same as yesterday. Once we're done with all the presentations then students will write their reflection blogs to share what they did.

HW - None

Wednesday - No Science classes today so that 8th graders can work on their Odyssey preparation.

HW - None

Thursday - Same as yesterday.

HW - None

Friday - No Science again today for gear check. We will finish the last few plant project presentations when we return from Odyssey.

HW - None
