Week 6, 1/21 to 1/25

Monday - Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. No School.

HW - None unless you didn't finish the 10 test questions we worked on all week last week.

Tuesday - Today students continued working on typing their test answers on the Lesson 10 Blog. There were some kids in each class who finished. Many students in each class still need to finish their test by typing their answers onto their blog so that we can correct them.

HW - None

Wednesday - Today I will have Ms. Cordz sub for me while I am naturemapping with the 8th graders. 

Students will finish typing the answers to their test on their Lesson 10 Blog so that we can start correcting them.

Those who are done will be working on their social network prompts. If they are done with those prompts then they will work on an activity of Newton's Laws of Motion.

HW - None

Thursday - Today we will go over the responses to the test questions.

Then we will continue to work on the Newton's Laws activity.

HW - None

Friday - Today students will continue to work on their Newton's Laws work onto their blogs.

8th grade Science

Monday - Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. No School.

HW - If you didn't get your permission slip signed DO IT NOW! That way you won't forget to turn it in tomorrow.

Tuesday - Today we are going to learn what Naturemapping is to prepare ourselves for tomorrow's field trip. There are some apps that students can download at home to use on this field trip tomorrow.

We also looked at some of Washington state's birds, amphibians, reptiles, mammals, and invertebrates so that we can familiarize ourselves with what we might see.

HW - If you have a plant field guide, please bring it. Also remember to bring your sack lunch unless you ordered one from the cafeteria through me.

Wednesday - Today we will spend most of the day at Tamanowas Rock (Big Rock) learning how to naturemap and then mapping the area.

When we return 5th period will start to identify as many plants, fungi, and animals as we saw, heard or found evidence.

HW - None

Thursday - Today 2nd period will start to identify as many plants, fungi, and animals as we saw, heard or found evidence.

2nd period also will be setting fish traps today.

5th period will finish identifying as many living things as they can so they can begin uploading their data to Project Noah.

HW - None

Friday - Today we will finish any uploading of data from the naturemapping field trip. Then students will continue to work on their ribbon of life assignment.

2nd period will retrieve the fish traps to identify and count any fish we catch.

HW - None
