| 5th/6th-grade Science Monday - Garden Earth Day Activity - Pulling blackberry vines with NOSC! If we have time in class we will start taking apart the robots! HW - By now everyone should be done with Robotics Vocabulary, Energy Vocabulary, Friction, Forces and Motion, Humans Flying, Super Speed, Physics of Football 1, 2, and 3 at least! All the other assignments (see here) are available to all students to do at home. Students also need to finish their Potential Energy Robotics Challenge eportfolio entry for homework since we do not have more class time available. Tuesday - Start organizing the Lego Mindstorms EV3 robotic kids to conclude our robotics unit. Teams who finish before class ends can work on their eportfolio entry. Wednesday - Continue getting robot kits ready for next year. Fifth graders will practice for their Washington Comprehensive Assessment of Science test, which they will take on Tuesday May 16. Thursday - For classes who are done getting robot kits ready for next year, Environmental Stewardship Project - working on learning water quality parameters to start going down to the creek and collect data. NOSC/Finnriver field trip today from 1 pm to 3:15 pm. Students will be involved in tree planting, invasive species removal, and nursery maintenance. Friday - Today we will continue the Environmental Stewardship unit or finish getting robot kits ready for next year. |
