| Mr. G's 6th-grade Homeroom Monday - No School - President's Day HW - None Tuesday to Friday - Students are still researching and writing scripts for the first podcasts as part of the Student Podcasting Challenge. | 6th-grade Science Monday - No School - President's Day HW - Choose-A-Thon handouts including the Pledge Sheet went home with students Tuesday. Tuesday, students also found out how they did on last Friday's Physics Test! Ask your child how she or he did on the test. Tuesday and Wednesday - Teams will run heat energy transfer experiments and collect data with the EV3 bricks using the Data Logging part of the Lego Mindstorms software then write conclusions on their blogs. Thursday and Friday - Once we are done with the heat energy transfer data logging experiments, we will analyze the data so that students can write their Claims, Evidence, Reasoning conclusions. This week period 3 will set the fish traps one day, then return the next day to ID and count any fish we catch in the traps. We always return the fish to the creek. |
