6th-grade Science

Monday and Tuesday - While I am gone to a robotics training in Bremerton students will continue working on their Human Water Cycle and Water Pollution research to begin working on a solution design to a problem facing our waters!

Teams that get their research and solution ideas approved by my sub will begin designing and programming their solution using their EV3 robots.

HW - None unless you fall behind and need to finish work at home.

Wednesday to Friday - For the rest of the week students will continue to work on their Hydro Dynamics Challenge solution. Teams that finish building and programming their robots will record them in action and prepare to share their ideas.

The best solutions will be added to our Chimacum World Solutions Blog!

8th-grade Science

Monday and Tuesday - I have a sub while I am away at a robotics training.

Eighth graders are researching rocket science to get ideas to build bottle rockets.

Teams that get their research approved by my sub will begin building their bottle rockets.

HW - None if you are all caught up.

Wednesday to Friday - Depending on how far teams got we will either launch bottle rockets by the end of this week or if rockets aren't built yet, we can always wait until after spring break.

If teams are ready to launch, we will launch them then teams will be able to make modifications for a second launch!

6th-grade Keyboarding

Monday to Friday - Our daily routine is as follows:
  1. Check Classcraft.
  2. Practice Keyboarding with Typing.Com.
  3. Students then play World of Warcraft to continue leveling up their character and playing through the story.
  4. Some days students will be working on assignments based on the game.
    HW - No homework.
