(This may change from day to day depending on how much we actually get done in class so check back often to make sure something wasn't changed at the last minute.)

6th grade Science Monday - Today we are going to finish EMM Lesson 3, including the debrief and reflection. HW - None Tuesday - Today students continued to work on their lesson 3 reflection questions. HW - None Wednesday - Same as yesterday. HW - None Thursday - Today, as students finish their lesson 3 reflection questions, they will complete the lesson 3 quests on 3D GameLab and any other quests they still have to work on. HW - None Friday - Same as yesterday. HW - None | 8th grade Science Monday - Today we are going to start determining what is living by doing a sorting activity to get students thinking. This is the first activity in our work to come up with a list of criteria to determine whether something is living or not. HW - None Tuesday - Today students continued working on yesterday's activity, specifically responding to a prompt on the class forum (the Is it Living prompt). Then teams setup a set of vials that they will be using for an experiment to look for evidence as to whether five substances are living or non-living. HW - None Wednesday - Today teams finish setting up three different liquid environments in their vials then added five different substances. Students will be observing what happens in their vials to find any evidence whether the substances are living or non-living. HW - None Thursday - Today teams will record their observations while working on their available or in progress 3D GameLab quests. HW - None Friday - Today teams will record their final observations to share what they got from the experiment. We will see which substances teams decided are living and what their evidence is, as well as noticing if the different liquid environments had any effect. HW - None |
